The first revolution in this congress was the exceptional partnership between “Gala d’Étoiles” with the ballet dancers of the Opéra National de Paris, produced by Alexandra Cardinale, and the cultural and tourist authorities of Paris, which allowed us to discover the link between science, art and culture. During the opening ceremony, the audience was excited by the vast repertoire of dance, ranging from romantic and classical ballet to modern creations by Julien Lestel, a contemporary choreographer, before the final of the enchanting Ravel Boléro. Between the official
speeches these danced interludes prepared us to listen carefully to the lecture given by the Nobel Prize in Medicine 2011 Jules Hoffmann on the discoveries concerning the activation of innate immunity.
